Life can be overwhelming; sometimes our life trajectories don't go as planned for a variety of reasons and we end up feeling stuck. If your usual coping strategies are not yielding the desired results then it might be time to consider psychotherapy.

 

I offer individual psychotherapy in a goal-oriented model that focuses on giving you space to process your thoughts, emotions and behaviours by using evidence-based therapeutic interventions. In our work together the aim is to help you explore, understand, manage and cope with challenging experiences and emotions. My approach is non-judgemental, compassionate and exploratory in the process of assisting you navigate through the stressors that led you to therapy.

Sessions can be provided on an ongoing long-term basis or short-term for those who only need to be seen for a few sessions to help stabilize a crisis.

 

Therapy sessions are provided virtually via video or phone to those residing in Ontario, Canada.

Chanel White is a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW), Psychotherapist and Consultant. Chanel holds Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Sociology and Masters of Social Work degrees. Chanel has over ten years of mental health experience working with individuals and families in crisis, healthcare, community treatment and educational settings. 

 

Chanel's therapeutic style draws from a variety of evidenced-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based approaches and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

A complimentary 15 minute telephone consultation is offered to help determine if my therapeutic style is the right fit for you. We’ll have a brief discussion about your therapeutic goals and answer any questions prior to booking an initial appointment. If it is determined that it is not the right fit, alternatives can be suggested that may better suit your needs.

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapy services may be covered by your extended health insurance plan. It is recommended you check your individual plan for coverage details.  Receipts are available for insurance submission and/or tax purposes. Payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer.
